1st Project

For my narritive litteracy project, I wanted to focus on something that has happened to me during my sports days.  I had a hard time finding a point in time where it actually taught me something that helps me to this day.  But i've come to the conclusion that my crosscountry years have had the biggest impact on me.  Through the years i've encountered strong team bonding, communication (through different ways),  teamwork, and relationships that are still going strong to this day.  This has had the biggest impact on my life.

Malcolm X

Being in prison didn't hold back Malcolm X from doing his thing.  From the start, learning was necessary.  He was eliterate.  What he had with him was nothing, but a dictionary.  What could this possibly do for him?  Day after day, hour for hour, memorizing and copying each page until it was verbatem.  Growing vocabulary so much that putting sentences together and reading were becoming second nature.  From seeing this, it actually makes sense that an education could be so much more.. "easy"  than what everyone makes it to be.  Reading a dictionary over and over is sure to do something for you.  Even malcolm said that no college education compares to that.  Looking at the man he came to be definitely proved that being in jail for that time can help in some way or another.
